For her first solo exhibition in Malta, Rtty Tacsum presents a sequence of photos as well as startling installations that best summarise her current artistic exploration. In this show, curated Lisa Gwen Baldacchino, Ritty ‘s work focuses on her own inner world view. Her photography is the consequence of her own thoughts and dreams. Her personal work portrays people that have a story to tell not just models. Through her work, she is asking questions about gender, sensation, sensuality, freedom and identity. At every opportunity she challenges herself and the viewer to experience a new relationship with what she is shooting, There is also a playfulness sin in her work as we explore the seeming randomness of the photos giving to the show a somewhat anti-serious aspect. These images are full of references and have to be seen as contemporary fairy tales. -
